Bo Ab Concordiaparken
Jakobstad has an old tradition of wood industry as well as one of the best preserved wooden centers in Finland.
The idea of this housing project ist to create a dialog with the historical environment, including the wooden church and the old red brick fire station. Visually separating the attic storey from the wooden facade, creates the impression of a building rather small in scale.
The structure is designed in cross-laminated timber, emphasizing a sustainable approach, socially and ecologically.
